No justice

Well, as we sit back and watch the Liberals and NDP stop every investigation and hearing, would you not think, where is the justice in this country? Car-jackings and chaos in the streets. When you watch the RCMP not follow through on an investigation, is that not telling people there is no transparency in our policing? They say nobody is above the law, but someone is above the corruption, that is plain to see. When you watch bank accounts frozen, from people that had bouncy houses and compassion for our country, seeking transparency from our government. You often wonder when will our politicians get punished for their dirty deeds that hurt far greater amounts of people in our country.

MARK KIRBYSON

(The chance we have is in the next federal election to send a clear message to Trudeau and Singh they are the architects of so many failings in our country)

A question of demonstrating

I wonder, if there would be demonstrations blocking access to mosques, if the police would handle things differently.

IRWIN DIAMOND

(Of course it would be handled differently)

Minivan party

I am hoping the leaders of the federal Liberals and NDP do not resign or leave before the next election. I am quite sure after the election, both of these parties will be able to ride together to the opening session in one minivan that seats seven. Both of these parties deserve it.

ELLIOTT TAVENS

(They will be financially comfortable as they ride off with their pensions)

Hamas to blame

Shirley Olson’s recent letter makes the claim that Israel fighting Hamas terrorists in Gaza somehow constitutes “constant dehumanization of the Palestinian people.” What Olson regrettably does not share is that the proportion of civilian casualties in Gaza is lower than virtually any other armed conflict in history, and that Israel has taken extraordinary steps to protect civilians, though this is predictably rarely reported. Instead, Hamas propaganda masquerading as fact, including their fake death toll numbers, are repeated uncritically by news media outlets across Canada. Hamas is a genocidal Islamist terrorist organization hell-bent on the violent destruction of Israel, and they will never stop their war until Israel is destroyed. However, this war can be over in five minutes if Hamas releases the hostages and surrenders its leaders. It can do that anytime and yet has chosen to pursue endless war instead. It’s time Canadians point the finger at the real culprit causing suffering on both sides: Hamas.

ROBERT WALKER,
HonestReporting Canada

(More people need to take a stand against Hamas.)
