After watching the U.S. presidential debate, maybe Biden should have prepared for one month instead of just one week. What an unmitigated disaster for the Democratic Party. Love or hate Trump, at least he presents himself as a man who is capable of performing the duties of president. Biden, like Trudeau, is way past his best-before date. Both need to step down immediately.

Up for debate

After listening to the Biden-Trump debate, I cannot help but wonder that if out of more than 330 million people these two are the best the Americans can put forward for president, they are, indeed, in grave trouble. One is a doddering old fool and the other is a narcissistic liar. No matter who wins, all I can say is good luck to all Americans. You are going to need it.

Out of character

As I watched the political debate between Biden and Trump, for a moment I thought it could be a sequel to Grumpy Old Men. While Biden was more articulate and believable, his raspy (at times faint) voice and his facial expressions presented an image of weakness. On the other hand, Trump, with his pouting, egotistical posture, gave off an image of an adversarial cartoon character, eg. The Joker. Neither of the grumpy old men answered one of the most important questions related to the survival of our planet — climate change initiatives. While we have our own cartoon character in Justin Trudeau, he doesn’t have his finger on the button. Definitely scary times.

Sun setting

The message to Justin Trudeau in the St. Paul’s by-election was loud and clear: When small men cast long shadows, the sun is about to set!

Going down

Liberal MPs are following their marching orders and repeating the same robotic talking points, saying that they will follow Trudeau (blindly) into the next federal election. Well, the Liberals can ignore polling results and this week’s catastrophic loss in a by-election with fortress Toronto crumbling, but the numbers don’t lie. Liberal MPS who follow Justin Trudeau are riding on an airplane where Trudeau is the kamikaze pilot leading the once proud Liberal Party of Canada to total political destruction.

CHRIS ROBERTSON

(The Liberals no longer have the trust of Canadians.)
