Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Tuesday (Sep 10) ahead of key inflation data later this week that could firm up bets on the size of the interest rate cut that the Federal Reserve is expected to deliver on Sept 18.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 86.9 points, or 0.21 per cent, at the open to 40,916.5.
The S&P 500 rose 19.5 points, or 0.36 per cent, at the open to 5,490.51, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 65.0 points, or 0.39 per cent, to 16,949.641 at the opening bell. REUTERS
