It always amazes me the lengths people will go to set up unlawful tent cities. The Swiss Family Robinson encampment discovered in the Fulton Creek area of Edmonton had all the comforts of home plus a lot more like designer tiled floors and solar panels. I’m just surprised it wasn’t rented out as an AirB&B or a Vrbo.

Cleaning house
The sheer cheekiness, cockiness and arrogance of Justin Trudeau and his dysfunctional federal Liberal government continue seemingly unconcerned today. But, tomorrow is coming full-steam ahead. The Bloc Quebecois, teaming-up with the other political parties, including the official Conservative Party will bring Justin Trudeau to his knees. It’s long overdue, but it’s time to purge the riff-raff from the House of Commons.

Just look at the numbers
Why do Jay McNeal and John Hufnagel feel that Dave Dickenson is the right man to save the sinking ship? All you have to do is look at his record: his wins have declined every year except 2022 and lost every year since 2019 in the western semifinals, usually because of bone head play calling. Finally, this embarrassing year to add to his dismal coaching record.

Patience is required
Stan Martin is a little too impatient for Premier Smith’s tax cut. Smith is still cleaning up the devastation and the fall-out from the NDP years 2015-2019. Premier Notley of the NDP took Alberta’s debt from $10 billion to almost $80 billion in four years, hired close to 58,000 bureaucrats.

As of March 31 Alberta’s debt is $79.7 billion. The government repaid $13.4 billion in 2022/23. Alberta needs to pay down its debt. When you owe someone else calls the tune.

Build it and they will come
If Alberta wants to solidify itself as a tourism empire for the next century, it needs to build the “Alberta Loop”. This is a high speed rail loop that circles Alberta with the four stops of Edmonton, Calgary, Banff and Jasper. With stops at both the Edmonton airport and Calgary airport, tourists from around the globe can come and enjoy scenic, fast, comfortable rail transit to see the most beautiful mountains in the world and enjoy Alberta hospitality at these wonderful holiday destinations.
