It was absolutely cowardly of the Liberal government to drop off the fall economic statement, then run off like scared rabbits to avoid having to defend it by actually answering questions. Instead of sticking to the $40-billion guardrail, they are overspending by more than $20 billion. (The deficit is forecast to be almost $62 billion). Chrystia Freeland refused to table it. Then we see Dominic LeBlanc gleefully being sworn in to replace her. He should also be ashamed. The Liberal party has definitely hit rock bottom.

(Trudeau hasn’t handed in his shovel yet.)

NARCISSISM DEFINED

At more than 80 years old, President Joe Biden, after a weekend of resistance, swallowed his pride and stepped aside as his party’s nominee in the presidential election. This Canadian prime minister is the definition of narcissism.

MIKE DEFALCO

(He might be proud of that.)

LOSING THEIR MINDS

Have all our government leaders, federal and provincial, drunk the Liberal Kool-Aid?

U.S. president-elect Donald Trump says fix the border or he will levy 25% tariffs. Now all these government leaders are losing their minds and saying stupid things. Trump doesn’t take office until Jan. 20. So they have about a month to show they are fixing the border. They all admit the border needs work. Why haven’t they fixed it? Why does it take Trump to get things started? Our prime minister suggested it would have been better if Kamala Harris had won. It’s like he knows he is done and he is going to leave as big a mess and as many poisoned relationships behind as he can.

(It is a trail of debt and chaos he’s leaving for us to clean up.)

Down with the ship

In spite of the writing on the wall, Justin Trudeau has continually indicated he will remain Captain of the Liberal Titanic into the next election and I look forward to that. He has always deemed himself the Messiah of Canada and now professes to be the Savior of Canadians from the evils of Donald Trump and Pierre Poilievre. After his election loss, Trudeau’s concession speech will no doubt include “forgive them Father, for they know not what they do” by having voted for the Conservatives in as government.

Tony Borbely

(He does seem to believe he is God’s gift to Canada. We should check the return policy on it.)
