Way back when the second worst prime minister in our history resigned, he took a long walk in the snow. Maybe the worst prime minister in our history will resign after one more hang-10 in Tofino over the holidays. Let’s hope!

DORN ANDERSEN

(You never know! Things have got to be getting mighty uncomfortable in Justin Trudeau’s world.)

One-man wrecking crew

Winston Churchill once described his political rival Labour leader Clement Atlee as “A modest man with much to be modest about.” But with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau what we get is the opposite: One raging narcissist whose PMO constitutes the wrecking crew for what was once a sound and widely envied nation. One that seems, moreover, bent on piling up yet more wreckage before Trudeau goes or is kicked out of office in 2025. Were I asked to ascribe to our Liberal government and its leader some suitable moniker to reflect that woeful rampage it would be SNL’s The Not Ready for Prime Time Players.

OREST SLEPOKURA

(No argument here.)

This ship is sinking

In the last 24 hours, Prime Minister Titanic and his crew has taken on more water than they can handle. Before we know it, the unsinkable ship of 2015 will be coming to rest on the bottom of the political ocean of Ottawa. But, there will be another ship launched from another shipyard soon.

DONALD K. MUNROE

(One can only hope.)

Bah, humbug!

Christmas letter to Justin Trudeau and the Liberal party. No one wants you anymore. No one respects you, no one believes you and no one trusts you. You are destroying our economy, and crippling our industries. You force policies on us that violate our basic rights and freedoms. You do not protect our borders. You continue to disgrace our country everywhere in the world. Yet you do not allow us an election because you have a dictatorship that the NDP has given you. Maybe listen to the Canadian people. For once, do the honourable thing and call an election.

IAIN FOULDS

(Reads more like a lump of coal.)

Freeland stood by Trudeau

So, the smug, smirking Chrystia Freeland is resigning from the Trudeau cabinet!? Is this some sort of pathetic and fraudulent attempt by Freeland to distance herself from the sinking Trudeau ship? Such an act is utter futility as Freeland is well known as Trudeau’s top general, and the worst finance minister in Canadian history. Freeland cannot escape reality by scurrying off and ‘playing innocent’ in the degradation of Canada’s finances. Freeland and Trudeau are co-authors of ‘the Canadian disaster.’

HARLEY WHITLOCK

(She is likely eyeing a bid for the Liberal leadership when that comes)
