Gascón continued, “Fernanda has been a wonderful ally, and no one directly associated with her has been anything but supportive and hugely generous.”
In fact, Gascón has noted that she’ll be content with whoever wins the Oscar.
“This isn’t a competition,” she told Folha de S. Paulo during her interview. “This is simply about people liking one’s work or not.”
E! News has reached out to Gascón and Torres’ reps, as well as the Academy, for comment but hasn’t heard back.
