I wonder if Canadians really pay attention to what’s going on in this country. Before the election, Mark Carney was going on about how we were in a “crisis” and he and only he could get Canada through it. Parliament only resumed this week and will only sit for a few weeks before breaking for the summer. It seems the crisis has suddenly disappeared.

More Canadians are homeless, more Canadians are suffering from food insecurities, and job losses are on the rise. I suppose those issues aren’t considered problems in Carney’s eyes.

Considering the dire state this country is in, those in Parliament should be working through the summer, get a couple of weeks off like the rest of us, and then get their butts back to work. They have, after all, been prorogued since late last year.

Let’s face it, the Liberals don’t care about issues that are affecting us on a daily basis … They never have. Canadians want a government that works for them, and, like the last 10 years, this Liberal one isn’t it.

Trudeau 2.0 is now in the room, and, yes, Canada is still broken.

BOYCOTT WAS DELIBERATE

Re: LILLEY: Mark Carney’s Liberals abandon Israel, cozy up to Hamas, online, May 21

I am not sure how to interpret Brian Lilley’s statement, “Israel has been allowing aid in …” Until recently, Israel maintained a boycott on humanitarian aid that lasted for several weeks. Whether they did it for political reasons, as suggested by Anita Anand, or for military reasons can be debated, but there was no question it was deliberate.

The fact that some humanitarian aid might be diverted to Hamas is not an excuse for a complete boycott.
