Saoirse Ronan just picked up a new role: mom.
The Lady Bird star gave birth to her first child with husband Jack Lowden, as the couple stepped out for a family walk in London with a stroller, per photos obtained by The Sun Sept. 11.
Saoirse debuted her pregnancy in a similar way, first putting her baby bump on display during a stroll with Jack and their dog in London in May.
While the duo began dating in 2017 after meeting on the set of Mary Queen of Scots—where he played the doomed husband to her titular character—they have tended to keep their relationship out of the public eye. This includes marrying in a private Scotland ceremony last July with only their closest friends and family present.
Still, the couple have shared insight into their dynamic, including their work together on projects like The Outrun, which they produced together and Saoirse, 31, starred in.
“Jack is a lot calmer than I am. He’s my voice of reason,” she told USA Today in October 2024. “But as a duo, we’ve both been on film sets our whole lives, so we have an appreciation of what we’re asking actors to do. We always want them to feel safe.”
