OK, as a taxpayer and having no kids so no school needs but still pay taxes. So, what are the ATA demands? We all read what the government is willing to give but nothing on what teachers seek. Let’s see those details and really see if this is about classroom sizes, teachers aids and such or really a union smear campaign against the government and unreasonable wage increase. Remember wage increases equals higher dues to ATA. Is it really about the students?

(Sounds like a hard cap on class sizes is a sticking point. But there are few details about what teachers are looking for in terms of wages)
Two good choices
There are two good choice candidates for Calgary mayor to clean up the train wreck at city hall. Jeromy Farkas or Sonya Sharp would both be welcome relief for a city that has suffered arguable decline under poor management. I believe both could deliver on the fiscal and social concerns that have been ignored or fumbled by the present team. The problem is that only one of them can land the job. It becomes then a personal choice but I think either would be fine and committed leaders.

Count me confused
We have self-driving cars, robots in manufacturing, space ships that are autonomous million of miles away but we don’t trust a machine to count a mark in a circle on a form. I am so confused!

No more Trudeau!
Here’s some feedback to the Calgary Sun: Enough with the articles and cartoons about Trudeau. It is disgusting to look at the state of our country and even worse for what he and his incompetent band of ministers have done to Alberta while running Canada for 10 years. I am likely speaking for the majority of Canadians who couldn’t care less about this self-centred incompetent ding-a-ling. He took Canada for a ride that will cost all of our grandchildren excess taxation to pay for his mistakes.

Criticizing Israel fair game
It’s not surprising if you teach younger generations the horrors of the Holocaust and the necessity of criticizing authoritarian regimes that commit genocide, then eventually younger generations are going to criticize the authoritarian and genocidal actions of Israel. The majority of criticism of Israel has nothing to do with Judaism, and any conflation of Judaism and Zionism only serves to spread vilification of Jewish people, who are already the most frequent victims of hate crimes.
