Woke folk strike again

(Re: ‘Tate McRae shocked by Morgan Wallen collaboration backlash,’ calgarysun.com) This young popstar from Calgary should stay the course and keep laser-focused on her music career. Don’t be swayed by the woke crowd or scoffers, who just want to upset the apple cart on the beaten trail leading to glory and fame. Seems the woke crowd have shown their hand and looks like Tate is already way above them today. The woke crowd are nobody’s friend but their own.

Pay your way
What Paula Calderon, (‘A little bit reprehensible,’ Thursday Sun) seems to not understand is that many of us don’t want to pay for immigrants. At the most basic level, they need to contribute to our society, and that means paying taxes. If that makes me racist, fine.

(Don’t think expecting people to contribute makes you racist. And, for what it’s worth, most newcomers likely just want the opportunity to do just that)
Botched bargain
Wow, for a group of educated people the teachers sure got duped by the ATA. 50,000 members and no strike fund. A bargaining team that didn’t know what teachers wanted. Years of not solving the special needs and language issues even when they had a government of their choice for many years.
Got the current government to take away their rights to do anything. Now they just figured out some of the new 3,000 hires were already on the books. Teachers have more than just classroom issues.

Oil irony

B.C. municipalities pushed the province not to devalue pipelines in the province. They claim that they would lose millions in taxes. Is that not a bit ironic after all you hear of B.C. not wanting pipelines.

Dishonest politics
Canadian politics are so bizarre they make a third-world Junta look legitimate. It almost appears there are sleepers in other political parties that will make the jump to another party for an undisclosed reason. Undermining the whole system of honest voting, having a politician jump ship, not just leave. Makes our electoral system look very dishonest. I really have not supported any party since about 2015 when the stink of corruption was never processed. The WE scandal, SNC scandal, Island, etc.
