Nenshi wears this

Premier Smith is right on the money blaming his royal purpleness, (former Calgary mayor Naheed) Nenshi, for the water main debacle. Remember his reckless spending of the pile of rusting iron poles at the west end of the city or the big blue ring on Airport Trail, some call a portal to another dimension. One of his main responsibilities as mayor was municipal infrastructure. At this he failed miserably. Now he has the nerve to say the NDP are a government-in-waiting? Nenshi, go back to your other dimension using the blue ring.

Conservative goals
I hope every Conservative in Canada is watching and learning from Alberta’s Danielle Smith. Premier Smith is the epitome of what every Conservative leader in Canada should strive to become. Embracing Conservative ideals of family-values first, financially responsible government, minimizing government interference and intervention in citizens’ lives, with a steadfast focus to achieve Conservative goals without deviation or distraction. Danielle Smith proudly stands firm like an Alberta Rocky Mountain, when she is hit with a barrage of left-wing media attacks. When the eastern Canadian-based national media networks attack Alberta and our premier, she doesn’t blink. Smith fights for Alberta with every word and every breath. Her vision is an unapologetic, uncompromising sovereign Alberta-first agenda in a United Canada, but make no mistake about it, the past of an obedient Alberta being the lapdog and unfairly paying for all of Canada are over.

Bad omen
What is with this new federal government commercial that is labelled ‘Build Canada Strong.’ It lists some major projects, but does not include pipelines. An omen?

Back to the office
Government employees are so hard-done-by. Put a sock in it and get back to the jobs you were hired to do in your workplace, which is in an office, and not at home. You have abused that privilege for far too long. Count your blessings you have such a job, as many do not and struggle daily to make ends meet. One question for the unions: Are you going to charge the A.I. robots monthly dues, as they will be replacing these workers in the years to come?

(Many positions necessitate a return to the office, but workers who can properly do their jobs at home ought to have that option)

If AI (Artificial Intelligence) is so wonderful, let’s use it now. AI entities with no bias could and should be used to make proper logical and legal decisions in our Canadian and provincial legal systems that deal with crime. With AI, legal decisions in the courts could, should and would be made the same day and not take weeks or months for a verdict/ decision to be made. Letting arrested criminals free on promise to return at a later date (so they can continue their crime spree) because the justice court system is backed up will become a thing of the past. Legal action would be immediate. AI cannot be influenced by politics, lavish paid vacations, expensive cars and even bribes. AI does not collect any salary or great pensions once created. So, let’s do away with slow acting humans who can be influenced politically or by material things and welcome AI, pure, logical and simple, into our justice system.

Doesn’t bode well
(Re: Donald Trump administration’s non-militarily-provoked attack against Venezuela to topple its democratically-elected government.) American comedian John Mulaney compared the Trump presidency to a horse that has broken loose inside a hospital: “It’s never happened before. No one knows what the horse is gonna do next, least of all the horse. He’s never been in a hospital. He’s as confused as you are.” It’s a very funny analogy, however legitimately worrying. Trump is the unstable, vengefully angry and self-centred/-serving type willing to take the world for a most brutal spin, perhaps even for the sake of him making it into the historical-‘greatness’ books. Early on Nov. 6, 2024, Trump publicly stated: “Many people have told me that God spared my life [from two assassination attempts] for a reason. And that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness.” … Then again, Adolf Hitler also escaped assassination attempts made against him, most notably that foiled effort called the July Plot or Operation Valkyrie, and may have also mused that something divine spared his life. The institutional ‘Christians’ who still vocally and politically support Trump tend to see him as Godsent. Many also perceive Trump’s presidency as divinely-intended punishment against liberals. If anything, he’s evidence of a great evil being unleashed onto a largely powerless world. Ergo, if Trump does end up boding well for the world, it will have been accidental.

(Trump’s presidency has not been for the faint of heart. The Hitler comparison is a little over-the-top, though)
