Re: (LILLEY: Trudeau Liberals double down on hiking carbon tax even higher). On March 23, the nation of Canada buried a former prime minister of theirs named Brian Mulroney. As he served as this nation’s 18th PM, Mulroney bent over backwards, striving to keep Canada unified and strong throughout his nine years in office. Today, the nation of Canada has a far different prime minister running the show in Ottawa. Justin Trudeau will never be a Brian Mulroney, by any stretch of the imagination.

A timely reminder

France will celebrate on June 6th the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings that saw 5,000 Canadian soldiers being killed and eventually the liberation of France from the clutches of Hitler’s Nazi army. President Macron of France has stated European leaders must fully support Ukraine to defeat Putin’s Russian army for their future security. I hope they’ll remember Europe’s past failures against Adolf Hitler and send Ukraine the military hardware needed to defeat Putin another ruthless dictator.

(Putin must be stopped.)

Not our war

The Hamas and Israeli war is not our war. Canada can make recommendations but we cannot stop the war, that is up to the two parties involved. I see numerous protests, some violent, in inappropriate places, trying to force Canada to choose sides and effectively end their war. It isn’t going to happen. If you feel that strongly about ending the war, you always have the option to return to your country and bear arms. Your choice. War has no business with women or children, not at all. Blessings to both sides for all those who have been lost and those who remain. As a good neighbour, we try to help resolve the issue, that is all we can do. Before you protest, remember where you are, who you are and behave. Don’t bring your violence to Canada. It is not appreciated. Palestine and Israel need to work this out — not Canada.

(The outcome, however, will have reverberations around the world and is therefore in everyone’s best interest, Israel is supported and succeeds)

Good care

I have heard a lot about how poor our Alberta government health coverage is. I live in a small town. I had to go to the hospital with an infection. I was taken by ambulance which came very quickly. I was looked after very well by those attendees. I was admitted from the ER to a ward. The food from their kitchen was so very awesome. My doctors looked after me so very well. I am very pleased with our health service in our community.
