The addition of this airport will raise the number of mainland China destinations in the SIA network to 24

SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) will launch daily flights between Singapore and Beijing Daxing International Airport in November, it said on Monday (Jun 24).

The new SQ810 service will operate daily on the national carrier’s Boeing 787-10 aircraft, depending on regulatory approval. The return leg, flight SQ811, will also operate daily.

The first flight is set to depart Singapore for Beijing Daxing on Nov 11, SIA said.

The addition of this airport will raise the number of mainland China destinations in the SIA network to 24.

The group also noted that from Aug 5, its two existing services – SQ800 and SQ805 – between Singapore and Beijing Capital International Airport will become a daily service, up from four times weekly.

The increased frequencies will bring SIA’s existing 18 weekly services to China’s capital city to 21, and the group will operate 28 weekly services from November, it said.

Dai Haoyu, SIA’s acting senior vice-president of marketing planning, said: “China is a key market for the Singapore Airlines group. This new flight to Beijing Daxing allows SIA to offer an additional daily service to Beijing, a popular destination for both tourists and business travellers.”

SIA said the tickets for flights to Beijing Daxing will be progressively made available for sale from Monday.

Shares of SIA were trading flat at S$6.76 as at 10.25 am on Monday, after the news.
