Elon Musk

Elon Musk, owner of the famous car manufacturer Tesla, has released in 2020, Tesla Tequila. It is an exclusive small-batch premium 100 percent de agave tequila. Also, it is only available on their website. Available for order, it is $250 and inside a beautiful lightning-bolt bottle that sits on a modern stand.

How It’s Made

The website states: “Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, Tesla Tequila features a dry fruit and light vanilla nose with a balanced cinnamon pepper finish. Each hand-blown glass bottle is uniquely engraved 1 through 420 and comes with a matching glassware set and two polished metal stands featuring a brushed T logo. Best enjoyed as a sipping tequila.”

You of course have to be twenty-one to order the alcohol. It is only available in select U.S. states. Yet, only the lucky ones who are fast enough to order are able to get their hands on a bottle. First, though, let us tell you about the idea behind the tequila.

The Idea

The idea of the tequila first appeared April Fool’s Day in 2018. Elon Musk tweeted a joke showing him passed out on a Tesla Model 3 and surrounded by “Teslaquilla” bottles. He also held up a sign that reads “bankwupt.” Then, later that year, Tesla filed an application to trademark Teslaquila at the US Patent and Trademark Office. This is not the first time Tesla has done something like this. In fact, they have an entire merchandise line. It includes toy cars, apparel, and even phone chargers that resemble Tesla charging stations.

Can You Get Your Hands on a Bottle?

Sadly, the alcohol is no longer avalible as after four hours of launching, Tesla sold twenty thousand bottles and completely sold out. According to their website, the lightning-shaped bottle shipped in May 2022.
