Both of Canada’s living hockey legends, Wayne Gretzky and Bobby Orr, are friends with the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America. Is the level of hatred propagated by those afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome so maniacal that we have lost all sense of reason? I dare the media to try to cancel either one or both of these Canadian icons!

PAT BIONDI

(It is apparent many have lost their mind about this. The absurdity of trying to cancel Gretzky is madness)

Poor Mark Carney

When will Justin Trudeau help homeless Mark Carney? I’ve heard Mark Carney doesn’t currently have a home in Canada and his poor wife is living in a home on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. I’m asking all Canadians to burn a candle in their window until Mark Carney has a home in Canada!

(The high cost of housing is affecting us all, it seems)

Carnival Carney

I have always, and always will, refer to Mark Carney as a carnival huckster. He will tell you what he plans to do while hoping Canadians will believe his rhetoric, while at the same time planning his Liberal woke agenda and bring it to fruition. In Carney’s mind, he was the best thing since sliced bread for Britain while the British people classify him as a total disaster. If Canadians have any hopes of prosperity returning to this country, we have to work to make sure the woke ideology brought in by Trudeau, and that Carney supports, is removed from within our borders. If we want prosperity brought into our lives, we have to work for it and not allow some woke wannabe into a position of power.

(If Carney is successful and becomes leader and our next PM, there needs to be a federal election immediately to give Canadians the chance to pass judgment on the Liberals)

Trudeau has always bashed Canada

Re “Hoist our flag? Only if you love Canada” (Editorial, Feb. 15): You hit the nail on the head with your comments. It seems the only time we can beat our chests about being such great Canadians is when an outsider can call our government out for being hypocritical when our present government (Justin’s Liberals) have wasted a lot of fresh air telling us about how bad we are. I’ve flown or displayed a Canadian flag for over 50 years!

JERRY BYRNE

(Trudeau’s exit cannot come soon enough)
