Jana Kramer Clarifies Claim Husband Allan Russell Forbid Her From Doing Sex Scenes

Jana Kramer is setting the record straight.

Nearly six months after her husband Allan Russell told her that he would never “allow” her to film an intimate scene as an actress, the One Tree Hill alum defended the soccer coach against the people who she says “ripped him apart” for his comments.

“He was joking,” Jana told E! News in an exclusive interview. “There’s a conversation with every [job] we take. It’s the same thing with his line of work.”

She added, “That’s what marriage is—it’s a conversation. It’s not like, ‘No, you cannot do this.’ I don’t think that’s healthy.”

Plus, the Whine Down podcast host—who shares son Roman, 2, with Allan, as well as kids Jolie, 9, and Jace, 6, with ex-husband Mike Caussin—agrees about being intentional on the choices she makes as an actress.

“I’m not going to do something that is wildly taking my clothes off for no reason,” Jana continued. “If it is creatively gonna move the needle and it’s important to me for the role, he is so supportive.”
