(Re: Sun editorial ‘Tough road ahead for Poilievre and the Tories,’ Dec. 13.) Shortly after Andrew Scheer lost out to a scandal-mired Justin Trudeau in the 2019 federal election, Scheer’s fellow Conservative Peter MacKay compared him to a hockey player on a breakaway unable to score even on an empty net. Notwithstanding a sometime 20-point lead in the polls, Pierre Poilievre, too, was unable to lock in a win for his Conservative team, losing even his MP status in his long-held Ottawa riding in the recent election. In our sport-obsessed culture with winners hailed and losers dismissed, Poilievre’s image as an inveterate ‘loser’ will be hard to shake. Once his January leadership review comes up, I suspect many of the party faithful will vote thumbs-down on Poilievre for failing to show the promise of being a winner in waiting.

Carney’s election as PM was a setup. Carney’s road to a majority is a setup. Carney is a fake. He has not delivered on his promises. The Liberals are fake. They only have one complaint as a defense and that is that everyone is against their high and mighty position. When will Canadian voters realize this and finally vote for a change?

Carney’s con

The Big Carney Con! The real question is why on earth did Premier Smith allow herself to be conned by globalist PM Carney? After all, Carney has made it clear his priority is getting to zero carbon emissions by 2035, meaning oil must stay in the ground and selling more EVs is the priority. Let’s never forget Carney has been closely aligned with the WEF/globalist agenda and was also the adviser to the UN on climate change before jumping into Canadian politics! Also, Carney was Trudeau’s financial adviser when it was decided no business case could be made for selling LNG to several friendly countries that would have brought in billions. Carney simply keeps changing his message depending on whether the audience is in the West or East, when it comes to exploration of fossil fuels vs fighting climate change! Only Pierre Poilievre presented a real plan for building oil pipelines during the election campaign, however; voters decided a hardcore globalist was what they really needed.
