SINGAPORE Aero Engine Services Private Limited (SAESL) announced a US$180 million expansion plan at the Singapore Airshow on Wednesday (Feb 21).
The aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company signed two memoranda of understanding with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and JTC Corporation to support this expansion.
Simon Middlebrough, chief executive of SAESL, said that the expansion would focus on increasing the company’s capabilities and capacity in aviation MRO space.
It will also involve the development of a new 26,000 square metre facility.
SAESL is a joint venture between SIA Engineering and aircraft engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce.
