Pip Fitz-Amobi is on the case.
But this time, her story will play out onscreen as the TV adaptation of the beloved book A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder hits Netflix in August. And with the show’s newly-released trailer, it looks like the wait will be more than worth it.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder follows Pip (played by Wednesday‘s Emma Myers) as she tries to solve the murder of her schoolmate Andie Bell (India Lillie Davies), which occurred five years earlier. Because while the police and town believed it to be a murder perpetrated by Andie’s boyfriend Sal Singh (Rahul Pattni), Pip isn’t so sure.
And with Sal also dead, Pip will team up with his brother in an attempt to clear his name.
But as seen in the series’ trailer, the closer Pip seems to get to the truth, so too does danger draw nearer. As Sal’s brother Ravi (Zain Iqbal) warns her, “If they find out you’re looking for them, isn’t there a chance they could come after you?”
And if the panicked run through the woods, threatening texts, warnings from local police and tears shed in the trailer are any indication, Pip might indeed need to watch her back.
