PRUDENTIAL has appointed Chan San San, a Citi private banker, as its new chief executive officer for Prudential Singapore, the insurer said on Thursday (Jun 27).
Chan will take over the role of Singapore CEO from Dennis Tan, who will remain as the managing director of Prudential’s strategic business group with oversight for Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Prior to the appointment, Chan was managing director, global market manager at Citi Private Bank, where she focused on serving the private banking needs of ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth clients, their families and family offices in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
Chan has more than 20 years of experience across consumer wealth and private banking at Citi, spanning strategy, sales and marketing, client management, product management, strategic innovation and transformation, governance and risk management, the insurer said.
The appointment of a new CEO, fully focused on driving Prudential Singapore’s objectives, reflects the significance of the Singapore business and the group’s strong intent to support it, Prudential said.
Singapore is a key market for the insurer, where it serves more than one million policyholders, including a large segment of affluent and high-net-worth individuals, it noted.
