PRUDENTIAL has appointed Angel Ng, a former senior leader at Citi, as its new chief executive officer for its Greater China, customer and wealth businesses.
Ng will take over the role from Lilian Ng, managing director of Prudential’s strategic business group, who will retire at the end of this year.
Angel Ng reports to CEO Anil Wadhwani and will be based in Hong Kong.
Wadhwani on Monday (Aug 5) said Angel Ng’s extensive experience in Greater China, distribution, customer and wealth management businesses, as well as her entrepreneurial mindset, made her the ideal candidate to lead the team.
Angel Ng has 25 years of experience in financial services. While at Citi, she led the company’s Asia North and Australia cluster.
She was also the head of Asia for Citi Global Wealth, where she oversaw the Asia private bank and consumer banking segments. She also served as the CEO for Citi Hong Kong and Macau.
