CITI Wealth on Tuesday (Aug 6) announced the appointment of Yeo Wenxian as its new head of wealth for Asia South, commencing Nov 1.
The Singaporean executive is also set to be Citibank Singapore’s chief executive officer, after regulatory approval.
She will report to Citi’s head of wealth Andy Sieg, and join his global leadership team.
In her new role, she will oversee the bank’s retail onshore and offshore wealth management businesses. This includes Citigold, Citigold Private Client and cards in Asia South and the United Arab Emirates.
The minimum assets under management for Citigold and Citigold Private Client is S$250,000 and S$1.5 million, respectively.
The bank noted that the appointment comes as it builds its Asia South business, and reaffirmed its commitment to one of the “fastest-growing wealth clusters globally”.
Yeo spent 13 years at DBS and most recently served as head of DBS Treasures Singapore, where she was responsible for its onshore and offshore businesses and clients.
She was previously the local lender’s Singapore chief operating officer and a member of the strategic advisory team within its institutional banking group.
Her career started in 2000 at JPMorgan’s investment banking division, after graduating from Brown University.
