Aaron Rodgers is playing defense against time.
The New York Jets quarterback shared that his secret to maintaining his “little fountain of youth” as of late has been drinking a mix of cayenne pepper and water.
In fact, Aaron—who is currently working through a rehab regimen after suffering hamstring, knee and ankle injuries throughout the 2024 NFL season—gave a special shoutout to his Jets teammate Thomas Morstead for getting him hooked on the elixir, which can have health benefits such as improving digestion, reducing inflammation and relieving pain, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
“He’s been taking it for a while,” Aaron told ESPN in an interview published Oct. 29. “[Maybe] that’s why I’ve been feeling a little bit better.”
But that’s not the only way the 40-year-old has been staying on top of his health. As he put it, “I’m taking care of myself nonstop.”
And while he admitted his performance on the field hasn’t been “as good as I would’ve hoped” so far, Aaron is confident his wellness techniques will pay off in future games.
