[TOKYO] Tokyo’s benchmark Nikkei index ended more than nine per cent higher on Thursday (Apr 10) after US President Donald Trump’s stunning reversal on imposing sweeping reciprocal tariffs.
The Nikkei 225 index of shares closed up 9.12 per cent, or 2,894.97 points, at 34,609.00 yen, while the broader Topix index gained 8.09 per cent, or 190.07 points, to 2,539.40 yen. AFP
