Power surge
It will be interesting to see how the power grid will function when millions of vehicles are being charged and the air conditioning is running. Brownouts will be the norm and the amount of hydro you are allowed to use daily will be regulated. Time to flip the switch.

Divisive approach
The Alberta Next Panel promotes divisiveness. Angry outbursts at Wednesday’s meeting as separatists were out in full force. The meeting was badly organized, full of propaganda. This premier has fanned the flames of divisiveness. Regardless of the legitimate concerns with our federal government, no real alternatives were placed on the table. The premier is to be blamed for this amateurish approach. These meetings do not provide constructive solutions to working with the other provinces or the feds.

New anthem?
Since we like to change the words to our anthem to suit whatever agenda, perhaps we should replace it altogether. I suggest the chicken dance. Elbows up, elbows down, shake those elbows all around. To complete the ensemble, since our flag also seems to be changeable to whatever agenda, perhaps we should match it to our new anthem with a red chicken replacing the maple leaf to honour our new Prime Minister and his bent knee approach to negotiations.

On the Mark
It’s so nice to see Canadians proudly waving our flag and wearing phrases like Canada Is Not For Sale, Never 51 and Elbows Up. Our government, due to unjust tariffs, has reduced trade barriers between provinces and territories while looking for new trade partners and realizing the trade potential of our natural resources worldwide. Canadians, please be patient. It will take time before the above bears fruit and our economy is revitalized. Give Prime Minister Mark Carney a chance to turn things around, eh?
