Who Is Seung Han Ho? Man Accused in Texas Business Meeting Shooting That Left 2 Dead, 3 Injured

Two people were killed and three others injured Tuesday morning when a shooting broke out during a business meeting at a shopping plaza in Carrollton, Texas, police said. The alleged gunman was later identified as Seung Han Ho, 69, who was later connected to a second fatal shooting at a nearby apartment complex

Authorities say officers responded to reports of shots fired shortly before 10 a.m. local time at K Towne Plaza along Highway 121. Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo said in a press briefing that officers attended to multiple victims with gunshot wounds.

Shooting at K Towne Plaza shopping plaza

According to police, four victims were found at the shopping center, Fox 4 reported. One man was declared dead at the scene, while a woman and two men were rushed to the nearby hospital. All three injured victims were in stable condition, officials said.

Investigators later learned of another shooting at a nearby apartment complex, reported roughly an hour after the plaza attack. Officers responding to that call found another deceased man inside the apartment. Police said both incidents were connected and carried out by the same suspect, the outlet claimed.

Chief Arredondo said the victims had gathered with Ho for what he described as a business-related meeting, stressing that investigators do not believe the attack was random.

“It was a known business relationship. We are still working through trying to identify his causes,” Arredondo said.

Suspect arrested after brief chase

During questioning, Ho allegedly admitted to shooting all five victims. In a statement, police said the suspect told investigators he was “angry at the victims due to financial disagreements related to their business dealings.”

Authorities tracked Ho down at an H-Mart store located a few miles from the crime scenes. According to local outlet Fox4, he was arrested after attempting to flee on foot.

“Our undercover officers using our police technology were able to find the suspect’s vehicle and determine the current location,” Arredondo said. “Upon their arrival, they identified him. A short foot pursuit took place, and he was taken into custody without incident.”

Residents were urged to avoid the area while investigators processed the scenes. The Texas Department of Public Safety, the FBI and other federal agencies assisted local police. No charges had been formally announced as of Tuesday evening.

Reacting to the tragedy, John Jun of the Korean Americans Coalition DFW Chapter told Fox4: “We’re mourning that this happened. It’s unexpected… we all need to work to resolve things in a better way rather than just turning to violence.”
