The Jonas Brothers are heading to Melbourne for a major NFL first, with Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas set to headline halftime when the San Francisco 49ers face the Los Angeles Rams in the league’s first-ever regular-season game in Australia on Sept. 11.
The NFL announced Wednesday, Aug. 12, that the trio will perform at Melbourne Cricket Ground as part of the league’s push to turn its first Australian regular-season game into a global sports and entertainment event.
The game will be played Friday morning in Melbourne but Thursday evening in the United States because of the time difference.

The game is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11, at 10:35 a.m. AEST at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
For U.S. viewers, kickoff is Thursday, Sept. 10, at 8:35 p.m. ET. For viewers in India, that converts to Friday, Sept. 11, at 6:05 a.m. IST.
The Jonas Brothers will perform during halftime, so the exact performance time will depend on the length and pace of the first half.

Fans worldwide can watch the 49ers-Rams game and the full Jonas Brothers halftime performance live on Netflix, according to the NFL.
In Australia, the game will also air on the Seven Network, while local broadcast stations in the San Francisco and Los Angeles markets will carry the matchup.
That makes Netflix the simplest option for international viewers who specifically want to watch the halftime performance rather than rely on clips posted afterward.
Why The Melbourne Game Is A Big Deal
The Jonas Brothers’ appearance is tied to a much larger milestone for the NFL: Melbourne is hosting the league’s first regular-season game in Australia.
The Rams are the designated home team against the 49ers, with the matchup opening both teams’ 2026 regular seasons.
The game is part of the NFL International Series as the league expands its presence outside the United States.
The NFL said the Melbourne performance is also the first of seven halftime shows presented by American Express across its 2026 international games, spanning seven countries and four continents.
The other performers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The group welcomed the opportunity to be part of the historic game.
“We couldn’t be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia,” the Jonas Brothers said in a statement released through the NFL.
They called performing at Melbourne Cricket Ground an “incredible honor” and said they were looking forward to celebrating with Australian fans and viewers around the world.
NFL senior director of global game presentation and entertainment Tim Tubito said the group was chosen in part because its music reaches multiple generations.
“The Jonas Brothers are global entertainers whose music connects across generations,” Tubito said, describing them as an ideal act for the Melbourne event.
What Else Is Happening In Melbourne?
The game will anchor a broader NFL celebration in Melbourne.
The NFL Kickoff Festival is scheduled for Sept. 10-12 at Melbourne Park, with a watch party and performances from Australian acts including Sneaky Sound System, Kita Alexander, Peking Duk, Hot Dub Time Machine, Public Figures and Grinspoon.
The NFL said 62 regular-season games had previously been played outside the United States, with countries including the U.K., Germany, Spain, Ireland, Brazil, Mexico and Canada hosting games.
Melbourne now joins that international lineup, while Paris and Rio de Janeiro are also new markets for the 2026 season.
For the Jonas Brothers, the appearance adds another major global stage following a career that has produced more than 20 million album sales, multiple Billboard Hot 100 hits and three consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, according to the NFL.
