Premier League Live Streaming on YouTube: How To Watch TNT Sports’ Free Pre-Match Coverage
Fans in the UK will have a new way to access Premier League live streaming on YouTube during the 2026-27 season, although the free coverage will not include the matches themselves.
TNT Sports will make the first 30 minutes of its Premier League matchday coverage available free on YouTube before every Premier League match it broadcasts this season. The programme, called Early Kick-Off, will provide pre-match analysis, team news and wider discussion before coverage moves to the broadcaster’s subscription platforms.
The change begins with Hull City vs. Manchester United on Saturday, Aug. 22. The match is scheduled for a 12:30 p.m. UK kickoff, with Early Kick-Off starting at 11 a.m.
How to Watch the Free Premier League Coverage
Viewers can watch the first 30 minutes of TNT Sports’ Premier League coverage through its official YouTube channel without a TNT Sports subscription.
The free programme will also be available through TNT Sports’ television service and HBO Max for subscribers. After the 30-minute Early Kick-Off segment, the remaining pre-match build-up and live match coverage will continue through the subscription services.
The free YouTube stream is therefore not a way to watch Premier League matches live without a subscription. It provides access to the opening portion of the matchday coverage.
What Is Early Kick-Off?
Early Kick-Off is a 30-minute pre-match programme designed to begin TNT Sports’ coverage earlier and reach viewers before the main broadcast.
The programme will be presented by Liam MacDevitt or Olivia Buzaglo and will include early team news released 75 minutes before kickoff, along with analysis from TNT Sports pundits. Former England and Premier League players are also expected to contribute to the programme.
The show will cover more than the immediate fixture. Its format is intended to include wider Premier League subjects, such as transfers, new players and other developments from around the competition.
Will Every TNT Sports Match Have Free YouTube Coverage?
Yes. The free 30-minute programme is planned before every Premier League match shown by TNT Sports during the 2026-27 season.
This is an expansion from the previous season, when Early Kick-Off was used before selected Saturday lunchtime fixtures. The programme will now precede TNT Sports’ full Premier League schedule, including evening matches.
For an evening match scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., for example, the free YouTube programme is expected to start at 6:30 p.m. and run until 7 p.m.
What Time Does the First Free Stream Start?
The first free YouTube broadcast will begin at 11 a.m. UK time on Saturday, Aug. 22, ahead of Hull City’s home match against Manchester United.
The Premier League fixture is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 p.m. The match itself is part of TNT Sports’ live rights package and is not included in the free YouTube portion.
Fans should therefore distinguish between the free pre-match programme and the paid live match broadcast.
What Does This Mean for Premier League Fans?
The move gives viewers free access to official pre-match coverage without requiring a subscription to watch the opening half-hour.
It also gives fans access to confirmed team news and analysis before the match begins. Team news is released 75 minutes before kickoff, allowing the programme to incorporate starting-lineup information into its coverage.
For viewers who want to watch the full Premier League match live, however, the existing subscription requirements remain in place. The Premier League’s current UK broadcast arrangements list Sky Sports and TNT Sports as live television rights holders, while free-to-air highlights are provided separately.
The first Early Kick-Off broadcast will therefore offer a free starting point for fans following the 2026-27 Premier League season, but it does not make the live fixture itself available for free on YouTube.
