For Harbour, the achievement serves as validation for a lifetime of unforgettable roles.

“It’s kind of an out-of-body experience to be honest,” the Stranger Things actor exclusively told E! News backstage Sept. 6. “There’s just so much build-up.”

And, after being in show business for 30 years, Harbour admitted the last few hours leading up to his Emmy win were the most excruciating.

“You’re also sitting there for two and a half hours watching all these things,” the 51-year-old jokingly reflected. “I think during that time, the adrenaline courses through your body and you get weird and then you get tired and then you get happy and then you get tired again.”
