The mini-series, starring Lee Jun Young, Son Hyun Joo, Lee Ju Myoung, Jeon Hye Jin, and Jin Goo, is a television adaptation of the web novel The New Employee Chairman Kang by San Kyung. It revolves around Chairman Kang Yong Ho, a business genius. His soul unexpectedly swaps into the body of a young soccer player after an accident. Following the incident, the soccer player, Hwang Jun Hyeon, is forced to join Choi Sung Group as a rookie.

Reborn Rookie introduced Jun Young as the soccer player Jun Hyun, whose life revolves around the sport. His life takes an unexpected turn after Chairman Yong Ho’s soul enters his body. The preview stills tease Jun Hyun’s dual life as a rookie employee and a soccer player. Meanwhile, the teaser hints at power struggles inside a wealthy family.

• Lee Jun Young – The U-KISS member has been part of several K-dramas, including When Life Gives You Tangerines and Weak Hero Class 2. He will portray soccer player Hwang Jun Hyeon in the JTBC fantasy revenge drama.
