Laurent Proutiere assumes the role from Mar 1, 2025, subject to regulatory approval
INDOSUEZ, the wealth management brand of Credit Agricole Group, on Wednesday (Dec 4) said it has appointed Laurent Proutiere as Asia chief executive officer and Singapore branch manager, effective Mar 1, 2025. His appointment is subject to approval by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Based in Singapore, Proutiere will succeed Omar Shokur, who will pursue professional opportunities outside of the Credit Agricole Group after more than two decades there. Proutiere will report to Isabelle Jacob-Nebout, head of wealth management at CA Indosuez (Switzerland).
Prior to this appointment, Proutiere was head of international trade and transaction banking for the Asia-Pacific at Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Banking, a division where he had spent more than 20 years.
Indosuez’s announcement comes as wealth management firms and private banks are focusing on their expansion in Asia.
London-based Barclays said last month it planned to add Singapore as its second booking centre for its private bank operations in the Asia-Pacific, shortly after announcing it was embarking on a major hiring spree in Asia to expand client assets over the next few years.
Headquartered in Paris, Indosuez manages around 200 billion euros (S$282.6 billion) in client assets.
